GETTING STARTED

What is AmaFans? AmaFans is South Africa's first creator monetisation platform built specifically for Mzansi. It allows creators to earn money from their content through subscriptions, pay-per-view posts, tips, direct messages, and in-person bookings — all paid in Rand via PayShap and other SA payment methods.

Who can join AmaFans? Anyone 18 years or older with a valid South African ID or passport. Both creators and fans must verify their age before accessing the platform.

Is AmaFans only for South Africans? AmaFans is built for South African creators and fans but is accessible to anyone 18+ globally. All transactions are in ZAR.

Is AmaFans free to join? Yes. Creating a fan account is completely free. Creators pay no upfront fees — we only take our 30% platform fee when you earn.

FOR FANS

How do I subscribe to a creator? Create a free account, browse creators, click on a profile you like, and tap Subscribe. You'll be prompted to add a payment method and confirm your subscription.

How much do subscriptions cost? Creators set their own prices up to a maximum of R60/month. Many creators also offer free tiers with paid PPV upgrades.

How do I pay? AmaFans supports PayShap and other SA payment methods to be introduced. All payments are in South African Rand — no forex fees, no dollar conversions.

Will my subscription automatically renew? Yes. Subscriptions renew monthly unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your account settings. You keep access until the end of the billing period.

Can I get a refund? Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of payment where the creator failed to deliver promised content. Change-of-mind refunds are not provided. Contact support@amafans.co.za for refund requests.

Can I message creators directly? Yes. Creators may offer paid or free direct messaging. Check each creator's profile for their messaging options.

What is PPV content? Pay-per-view content is exclusive posts that fans unlock with a one-time payment, separate from the subscription. Once unlocked, the content is yours to view on the platform permanently.

Can I book a creator for an event? Yes. Some creators offer in-person bookings for appearances and private sessions. Check their profile for booking options and pricing.

How do I cancel my subscription? Go to Settings → Subscriptions → find the creator → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.

How do I report a creator? Use the Report button on any profile or content. Our team reviews all reports within 48 hours.

FOR CREATORS

How do I become a creator? Register an account, go to Settings, and apply to become a creator. You'll need to verify your identity with a valid SA ID or passport and a selfie. Once approved, set up your profile and start posting.

How much does AmaFans take? AmaFans retains 30% of all earnings as a platform fee. You keep 70% of everything fans pay you — subscriptions, PPV, tips, and messages.

When do I get paid? Payouts are processed fortnightly directly to your SA bank account via PayShap.

Is there a minimum payout amount? Yes. The minimum payout threshold is displayed in your creator dashboard. Earnings below the threshold roll over to the next payout cycle.

What content can I post? You can post photos, videos, voice notes, livestreams, and text posts. Both free and paywalled content is supported. All content must comply with our Terms of Service and South African law.

Can I post adult content? AmaFans is an adult platform. Explicit content is permitted provided all persons appearing in it are 18+ with documented consent, and the content complies with the Films and Publications Act.

How do I set my subscription price? Go to Settings → Subscription and set your monthly price. The maximum is R60/month. You can also offer a free tier with paid PPV content on top.

Can I offer free subscriptions? Yes. You can set your subscription to free and monetise through PPV content, tips, and paid messages instead.

What is the Live feature? Creators can go live and receive real-time tips and PPV unlocks from fans watching the stream. Lives are visible to subscribers and can be monetised.

How do I set up PayShap payouts? Go to Settings → Payout Settings and add your SA bank account details. We'll verify your account before your first payout.

Do I need to pay tax on my earnings? Yes. You are responsible for declaring your AmaFans earnings to SARS. We provide monthly earnings statements to help with your tax returns. We recommend consulting a tax professional if you earn above the SARS threshold.

Can someone else manage my account? You may have a manager assist with your account but you remain legally responsible for all content posted and all activity on your account.

What happens if a fan charges back a payment? If a fan successfully reverses a payment through their bank, the equivalent Creator Earnings portion will be deducted from your next payout.

ACCOUNT & SECURITY

How do I reset my password? Click Forgot Password on the login page and follow the instructions sent to your registered email.

Can I have multiple accounts? One account per person. Operating multiple accounts is a violation of our Terms of Service.

How do I delete my account? Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Fan accounts are deleted immediately. Creator accounts remain open until all active subscriptions expire and all earnings are paid out.

Is my personal information safe? Yes. AmaFans complies with POPIA. We use SSL encryption, secure payment processing, and strict access controls. We never sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I think my account has been hacked. What do I do? Contact support@amafans.co.za immediately. Change your password and enable two-factor authentication if available.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

The platform isn't loading. What do I do? Try clearing your browser cache, switching browsers, or checking your internet connection. If the issue persists contact support@amafans.co.za.

My payment failed. What do I do? Check that your payment method has sufficient funds and that your details are correct. Try an alternative payment method. Contact your bank if the issue continues.

I can't upload content. What do I do? Check your file size and format. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, MP4, MOV, and MP3. Maximum file size is displayed during upload. Contact support if the issue persists.
